Wrexham Community & Culture Trust (WCCT) is looking for new Trustees and Advisors to help shape the future of our work. Could this be you?
Wrexham Community & Culture Trust is an independent organisation based in Wrexham which has been established with the support of Wrexham County Borough Council.
As a cultural development trust, WCCT’s mission is to support and develop the cultural and creative infrastructure of Wrexham in the long-term, encouraging investment in creativity and culture that will benefit the people of Wrexham and build Wrexham’s profile on the national and international stage. The Trust will embark and work in partnership on a wide range of projects to develop the cultural scene within the county of Wrexham. This includes the 2029 UK City of Culture Bid, identification of funding and sponsorship opportunities and development of partnerships with key organisations including WCBC, Wrexham AFC, National Trust and Wrexham University among others. Cultural and community leaders drawn from the Wrexham area and across Wales sit on the WCCT Board of Trustees to lead the organisations vision to nurture Wrexham’s creative potential and fulfil its mission to turbocharge Wrexham’s cultural ecosystem by collaborating, connecting, promoting and investing in Wrexham’s unique, diverse people.

We collect data about applicants’ characteristics and backgrounds, including information about people’s educational and professional backgrounds, so that we can make sure we are attracting a broad range of people to these roles and that our selection processes are fair for everyone. Without this information, it makes it difficult to see if our outreach is working, if the application process is having an unfair impact on certain groups and whether changes are making a positive difference.
If your expertise lies in finance or accounting, you will be invited to take on the role of Treasurer and provide financial oversight for the organisation.
The term of appointment will be three years initially with a review of performance for renewal for a further three years and again after this period for a maximum of nine years.
Please email [email protected] with a short Expression of Interest detailing why you are interested in this role and how your experience, expertise and skills can support the work of WCCT. Please also attach an up to date Curriculum Vitae (CV).
