The brand-new Wrexham Public Art Trail delivers on Wrexham Community & Culture Trust’s charitable aims of advancement of the arts, heritage and culture by bringing vibrant artworks and murals to brighten up many of the blank walls throughout the city centre, showcasing Wrexham’s rich and unique culture and heritage.
Liam Stokes Massey
The project, coordinated by Wrexham-based artist Liam Stokes-Massey, celebrates Wrexham’s heritage and culture, including our historic markets, industrial past and the significance of play.
The project is funded by the Shared Prosperity Fund and is strongly supported by Wrexham City of Culture and the WCBC City Centre and Arts Teams. The project comes during a time of multiple Council-led regeneration projects taking place across the city centre, including the refurbishment of the iconic Butcher’s and General Markets, the National Football Museum for Wales, a brand new hub for creative industries, the transformation of High Street and developments to our digital infrastructure.
New sites have been selected to complement existing football related murals at The Fat Boar, The Turf Car Park, Eagles Meadow and Crispin Lane.
